Regular Season Round 20: KL Dragons - Thailand S. 94-79

Very expected game when 8th ranked Thailand Thailand Slammers (5-15) lost to fourth ranked Malaysian KL Dragons (11-9) in Kuala Lumpur 79-94 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by KL Dragons. Thailand Slammers managed to win third quarter 23-11. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. American players dominated the game. Forward Tiras Wade (200-81, college: La-Lafayette, agency: Interperformances) orchestrated the victory by scoring 33 points (!!!) and 8 rebounds. Center Brian Williams (208-87, college: Tennessee, agency: VVG Sports) contributed with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 11 rebounds for the winners. KL Dragons' coach used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Forward Calvin Williams (206-87, college: SE Missouri St.) replied with a double-double by scoring 34 points (!!!) and 13 rebounds and center Christopher Garnett (211-80, college: Indiana SE) added 16 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Thailand Slammers. KL Dragons have a solid four-game winning streak. They moved-up to third place, which they share with Satria Muda. Thailand Slammers lost seventh consecutive game. They stay at the bottom position with 15 games lost. KL Dragons is looking forward to face Singapore Slingers (#5) at home in the next round. Thailand Slammers will play against the league's second-placed Philippine Patriots in Manila and are hoping to prove to their fans that they can break losing series.
