Finals Game 1: Rapla - Tarvas 66-105

Date: May 5, 2012
Tarvas eased past Rapla in the first game of the Bronze medals series. The game without a history. BC Rakvere led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They made 28-of-37 charity shots (75.7 percent) during the game, while Rapla only scored six points from the stripe. BC Rakvere forced 21 Rapla turnovers and outrebounded them 40-23 including 19 on the offensive glass. Rapla was plagued by 30 personal fouls down the stretch. Worth to mention a great performance of Latvian center Kaspars Cipruss (210-82, agency: Interperformances) who helped to win the game recording 27 points and 7 rebounds. Latvian swingman Juris Umbrasko (197-79) contributed with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 12 rebounds for the winners. Four BC Rakvere players scored in double figures. The former international forward Andre Parn (200-77) answered with 16 points and 6 rebounds (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field) and forward Indrek Kajupank (200-88) added 12 points in the effort for Rapla. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games.
