The game in Bangkok supposed to be quite interesting. Fourth ranked Indonesian Satria Muda (11-9) played at the court of 7th ranked Thailand Bangkok Cobras (6-14). Satria Muda did not have too big problems and got a relatively easy victory 99-79 on Sunday. The game was mostly controlled by Satria Muda. Bangkok Cobras managed to win second period 20-18. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Satria Muda looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. American forward Evan Brock (204-84, college: Alabama) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 29 points and 10 rebounds. The other American import power forward Steve Thomas (204-81, college: Middle Tenn.St.) contributed with a double-double by scoring 12 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Five Satria Muda players scored in double figures. Satria Muda's coach Octaviarro Romely used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American power forward Gentry Lewis (206-81, college: Philander Smith) replied with a double-double by scoring 18 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists and Filipino guard Marvin Cruz (173-84) added 16 points and 7 assists in the effort for Bangkok Cobras. Satria Muda have an impressive five-game winning streak. They moved-up to third place, which they share with KL Dragons. Bangkok Cobras lost fifth consecutive game. They keep the seventh position with 14 games lost. Satria Muda is looking forward to face Singapore Slingers (#5) on the road in the next round. Bangkok Cobras will play against Saigon Heat and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
