The game was mostly controlled by Menorca Basquet. Leche Rio Breogan managed to win second period 22-12. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Menorca Basquet dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to Leche Rio Breogan's 30. They outrebounded Leche Rio Breogan 52-30 including a 26-9 advantage in offensive rebounds. American forward Taylor Coppenrath (205-81, college: Vermont) notched a double-double by scoring 19 points and 11 rebounds to lead the effort and power forward Andreu Matali (204-81) supported him with 12 points and 8 rebounds. Even 19 points by Nigerian-Dominican guard Sean Ogirri (188-86, college: Wyoming) did not help to save the game for Leche Rio Breogan. Senegalese forward Papa Dia (212-87, college: SMU) added 8 points and 8 rebounds for the guests. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.
