Regular Season Round 21: Saigon H. - Petron Blaze 68-83

ASEAN League top team - Filipino Petron Blaze (17-4) managed to deliver another win. This time they beat sixth ranked Vietnamese Saigon Heat (8-13) 83-68. Saigon Heat was tied at the half but could not keep up in last two quarters eventually losing the game. Petron Blaze dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to Saigon Heat's 34. They brought some defensive toughness making 8 blocks. American forward Nick Fazekas (211-85, college: Nevada) nailed a double-double by scoring 24 points, 12 rebounds and 4 blocks for the winning side and guard Roger Yap (186-77) accounted for 10 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists. Four Petron Blaze players scored in double figures. Petron Blaze's coach Ato Agustin used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American center Jonathan Jones (211-79, agency: TSS Management) came up with a double-double by scoring 25 points and 12 rebounds and the other American import forward Jahmar Thorpe (198-84, college: Houston) added 11 points and 6 rebounds respectively for Saigon Heat in the defeat. Petron Blaze have an impressive series of eight victories in a row. They maintain first place with 17-4 record. Saigon Heat at the other side keeps the sixth position with 13 games lost.
