Finals Game 2: Ventspils - VEF Riga 67-85

VEF Riga dominated down low during the game scoring 46 of its points in the paint compared to Ventspils' 26 and made 21-of-25 free shots (84.0 percent) during the game. They outrebounded Ventspils 40-21 including a 18-6 advantage in offensive rebounds. 25 personal fouls committed by Ventspils helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. The former international forward Kristaps Janicenoks (196-83) orchestrated the victory by scoring 19 points. The former international power forward Kaspars Berzins (213-85) contributed with a double-double by scoring 10 points and 11 rebounds for the winners. Five VEF Riga players scored in double figures. American guard Jahmar Young (196-86, college: N.Mexico St., agency: Two Points) replied with 17 points (was perfect 8-for-8 from the free throw line) and international center Arturs Berzins (204-88, agency: FCM) added 11 points in the effort for Ventspils. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.
