The game was mostly controlled by Yokohama BC. Akita Happinets managed to win fourth quarter 32-20. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded Akita Happinets 44-27 including a 37-18 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was a great shooting night for Yokohama BC especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 58.8 percentage. American center Chas McFarland (213-86, college: Wake Forest) nailed a double-double by scoring 18 points and 13 rebounds for the winning side and his fellow American import guard Draelon Burns (194-85, college: De Paul, agency: Top Notch Sports) accounted for 19 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists. American swingman Ricky Woods (194-84, college: SE Louisiana) came up with 16 points and 5 rebounds and American-Kittitian forward Kyle Swanston (201-86, college: JMU, agency: SDJ Sports) added 17 points and 5 rebounds respectively for Akita Happinets in the defeat. Five Yokohama BC and four Akita Happinets players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.
