It looked good early as Kutaisi took an 3-point lead at the end of first quarter. But then Olimpi had a 19-12 second period charge getting the lead and Kutaisi was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 67-76. The former international guard Giorgi Gamqrelidze (183-86, agency: Interperformances) notched 22 points, 9 rebounds and 6 assists to lead the effort and Montenegrin power forward Ivan Todorovic (214-84, agency: Interperformances) supported him with 13 points and 11 rebounds. Even 14 points and 9 rebounds by center Richard Matiashvili (209-89) did not help to save the game for Kutaisi. Forward Rezo Didia (203-87) added 16 points and 7 rebounds for the hosts.
