The guests trailed by 9 points at the halftime before their 39-25 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. Hapoel Holon made 16-of-21 free shots (76.2 percent) during the game. They also forced 21 Hapoel J-M turnovers and outrebounded them 39-28 including 16 on the offensive glass. It was a great evening for American guard Ron Lewis (193-84, college: Ohio St.) who led his team to a victory scoring 16 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists. His fellow American import forward Tasmin Mitchell (201-86, college: LSU) helped adding 17 points and 9 rebounds. Five Hapoel Holon players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was international forward Uri Kokia (202-81) with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 12 rebounds (perfect from the field making all seven shots !!!) and American power forward John Thomas (206-75, college: Minnesota) scored 12 points.
