The hosts were tied after three quarters but managed to speed up in last quarter eventually winning the game. BGUIR-RTI forced 29 Sozh Gomel turnovers. Sozh Gomel was plagued by 26 personal fouls down the stretch. Forward Aliaksandr Hrumiantsau (205-91) nailed 18 points and 8 rebounds for the winning side and swingman Genniadiy Zakhar (198-92) accounted for 11 points and 11 rebounds. BGUIR-RTI's coach Siarhei Varyvodau allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Center Pavel Bliznets (205-94) came up with a double-double by scoring 22 points and 12 rebounds and point guard Yahor Patupchyk (186-94) added 15 points, 6 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals respectively for Sozh Gomel in the defeat.
