Residence surrendered against T71 Dudelange at home court in the semifinal series opener. The game was mostly controlled by T71. Residence managed to win fourth quarter 17-15. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Residence to just 7 points in first quarter. They outrebounded Residence 59-27 including a 23-6 advantage in offensive rebounds. The former international power forward Frank Muller (194-88, college: Cuesta JC) fired a double-double by scoring 13 points and 12 rebounds for the winners. International swingman Jairo Delgado (190-85) chipped in a double-double by scoring 13 points and 12 rebounds. Five T71 players scored in double figures. American forward Marcus Kennedy (193-84, college: Montevallo, agency: Interperformances) produced 13 points and 9 rebounds and U.S. Virgin Islands forward Jerome Gumbs (194-82, college: USF) added 8 points and 9 rebounds respectively for lost side. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games.
