The game in Bangkok was also quite interesting. Second ranked Filipino Philippine Patriots (16-5) played at the court of 8th ranked Thailand Thailand Slammers (5-16). Philippine Patriots managed to secure a 6-point victory 80-74 on Saturday. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Thailand Slammers won third quarter 26-21. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded Thailand Slammers 35-20 including a 25-12 advantage in defensive rebounds. Americans were the main players on the court. The best player for the winners was swingman Anthony Johnson (197-79, college: La-Lafayette, agency: Interperformances) who scored 15 points and 9 rebounds. Center Nakiea Miller (204-79, college: Iona) chipped in 11 points, 9 rebounds and 4 blocks. At the other side the best for losing team was forward Calvin Williams (206-87, college: SE Missouri St.) who recorded 21 points and 7 rebounds and center Christopher Garnett (211-80, college: Indiana SE) added 13 points and 5 assists respectively. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Philippine Patriots maintains second place with 16-5 record behind leader Petron Blaze. Thailand Slammers lost their eighth game in a row. They stay at the bottom position with 16 games lost.
