The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning the initial quarter 19-13. But Orvieto won second period 20-16. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. T. La Spezia had a 30-19 advantage in offensive rebounds. It was a very good performance for the former international forward Monica Bonafede (186-85) who helped to win the game recording 9 points and 14 rebounds. German power forward Petra Glaser (196-81, college: Long Beach St.) contributed with 12 points for the winners. International forward Alessandra Tava (184-91) answered with 15 points and center Licia Filippetti (185-86) added 10 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Orvieto.
