Enel Brindisi advanced into semifinals following an overtime road win over Assi Ostuni. Assi Ostuni was ahead by 11 points after three quarters before a 28-17 charge of Enel Brindisi, which allowed them to tie the game at the end of regular time. They were better in overtime eventually winning that period 13-7. Enel Brindisi forced 23 Assi Ostuni turnovers. Assi Ostuni was plagued by 27 personal fouls down the stretch. It was an exceptional evening for American point guard Jonathan Gibson (182-87, college: N.Mexico St.) who led the winners and scored 31 points. His fellow American import point guard Alex Renfroe (191-86, college: Belmont) accounted for 18 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists for the winning side. Four Enel Brindisi players scored in double figures. American point guard Aaron Johnson (172-88, college: UAB, agency: Two Points) came up with 33 points (!!!) and 6 assists and guard Simone Berti (196-85) added 17 points and 8 rebounds respectively for Assi Ostuni in the defeat. Assi Ostuni's coach Franco Marcelletti rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help.
