Galil Gilboa was trailing by 4 points at halftime but managed to get 3-point lead after three quarters before a 23-18 charge of Maccabi Ashdod, which allowed them to win the game. Worth to mention a great performance of American swingman Josh Carter (201-88, college: Texas A&M) who helped to win the game recording 29 points and 7 rebounds and the former international point guard Meir Tapiro (192-75) who added 16 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists (made all of his seven free throws) during the contest. At the losing side American Romeo Travis (200-84, college: Akron) responded with 18 points and his fellow American import point guard Wiliam Hatcher (188-84, college: Miami, OH) scored 16 points and 4 assists. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures.
