Semi-Finals Game 4: Cocodrilos - Marinos 87-86

Date: May 16, 2012
The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning the initial quarter 21-15. But Marinos won second period 27-25. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The game was decided in the last minutes when Cocodrilos won last quarter 19-20. They held Marinos to an opponent 0.0 percent shooting from the field compared to 0.0 percent accuracy of the winners. Worth to mention a great performance of Dominican power forward Jack Michael Martinez (203-81, agency: Paris Global Sports) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 19 points and 12 rebounds and the former international guard Jesus Centeno (190-85) who added 16 points during the contest. At the losing side the former international point guard Gregory Vargas (182-86) responded with 15 points, 7 rebounds, 6 assists and 4 steals and American power forward Jameel Watkins (211-77, college: Georgetown) scored 16 points and 7 rebounds. Four Cocodrilos and five Marinos players scored in double figures. Marinos' coach Jorge Arrieta rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help.
