Semi-Finals Game 1: Enel Brindisi - Sigma Barcel. 102-97

Date: May 23, 2012
Enel Bridnisi withheld a furious comeback effort from Sigma Barcellona to celebrate win in the opener. The hosts were already 18 points ahead after 3 quarters before a 34-21 Sigma Barcellona's run in the last quarter cut the lead to 102-97 at the end of the game. Enel Brindisi shot 60.3 percent from the field and made 21-of-27 charity shots (77.8 percent) during the game. Sigma Barcellona was plagued by 28 personal fouls down the stretch. American point guard Jonathan Gibson (182-87, college: N.Mexico St.) nailed 23 points and 6 rebounds for the winning side and his fellow American import point guard Alex Renfroe (191-86, college: Belmont) accounted for 18 points. Forward Matteo Da Ros (204-89) came up with 24 points and 8 rebounds and naturalized Canadian forward Philip Martin (202-80, college: Hawaii) added 20 points and 6 rebounds (on 9-of-10 shooting from the field) respectively for Sigma Barcellona in the defeat. Five Enel Brindisi and four Sigma Barcellona players scored in double figures. Sigma Barcellona's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help.
