Scafati celebrated the second win in the series against Pistoia and forced the decisive fifth game. Tuscany Pistoia trailed by 12 points after 3 quarters before a 24-21 run in the last quarter cut the deficit to 83-92 at the end of the game. 24 personal fouls committed by Tuscany Pistoia helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Worth to mention a great performance of American guard Paul Marigney (192-82, college: St.Mary's, CA) who helped to win the game recording 23 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists and the former international forward Nikola Radulovic (207-73) who added 22 points during the contest. At the losing side American point guard Dwight Hardy (188-87, college: St.John's) responded with 26 points and naturalized Brazilian swingman Jonathan Tavernari (198-87, college: BYU) scored 15 points and 8 rebounds.
