Semi-Finals Game 1: Guaymas - Tijuana 86-101

The game was mostly controlled by Tijuana Zonkeys. Ostioneros de Guaymas managed to win fourth quarter 24-23. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Tijuana Zonkeys looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. American power forward Robert Hornsby (196-82, college: Troy) fired 38 points (!!!) for the winners. The former international power forward Arim Solares (202-83) chipped in 14 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. American point guard Myron Allen (182-79, college: Lee JC) produced 26 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists and the other American import forward Jerome Habel (208-85, college: San Diego St.) added 12 points and 10 rebounds respectively for lost side. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Ostioneros de Guaymas' coach rotated ten players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.
