Chieti surprised Trieste on the road in the opening game of the consolation final series. Trieste was trailing by 5 points at halftime but managed to get 1-point lead after three quarters before a 31-23 charge of Chieti, which allowed them to win the game. They made 26-of-32 free shots (81.3 percent) during the game. 25 personal fouls committed by Trieste helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Naturalized San Marino swingman Andrea Raschi (200-79) fired 14 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. point guard Fabrizio Gialloreto (185-86) chipped in 21 points (made all of his ten free throws !!!). Four Chieti players scored in double figures. Alfredo Moruzzi (193-80) produced 23 points and 6 rebounds and point guard Michele Ruzzier (181-93) added 14 points respectively for lost side.
