The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Orvieto won third quarter 17-15. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded Orvieto 37-24 including a 30-18 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was a great shooting night for C.U.S. Chieti especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 64.7 percentage. The best player for the winners was Argentinian point guard Debora Gonzalez (172-90, agency: Players Group) who scored 27 points. The former international center Elisa Silva (192-88) chipped in 14 points and 5 rebounds. C.U.S. Chieti's coach Giuseppe Caboni used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. At the other side the best for losing team was Latvian power forward Lauma Reke (185-86, college: St.Peter's) who recorded 11 points and 9 rebounds and international forward Francesca Mariani (188-85) added 13 points respectively.
