Enel Brindisi got to a victorious start of LegaDue Finals as they stormed past Pistoia. The game was mostly controlled by Enel Brindisi. Tuscany Pistoia managed to win fourth quarter 17-16. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Tuscany Pistoia to just 6 points in third quarter. They outrebounded Tuscany Pistoia 41-26 including a 32-14 advantage in defensive rebounds. American point guard Alex Renfroe (191-86, college: Belmont) stepped up and scored 21 points and 6 rebounds for the winners and Serbian power forward Dejan Borovnjak (207-86, agency: Beo Basket) chipped in 15 points and 7 rebounds (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field). At the losing side American forward Bobby Jones (201-84, college: Washington) responded with 10 points and 8 rebounds and the other American import point guard Dwight Hardy (188-87, college: St.John's) scored 14 points. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games.
