The game without a history. Chieti led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They made 23-of-27 free shots (85.2 percent) during the game, while Trieste only scored seven points from the stripe. Chieti had a 37-23 advantage in offensive rebounds. 25 personal fouls committed by Trieste helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. The former international center Emanuele Rossi (208-82) fired a double-double by scoring 19 points and 14 rebounds for the winners. Naturalized San Marino swingman Andrea Raschi (200-79) chipped in a double-double by scoring 10 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists. Four Chieti players scored in double figures. The former international point guard Marco Carra (185-80) produced 16 points and forward Luca Gandini (205-85) added 12 points and 5 rebounds respectively for lost side. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games.
