The game was mostly controlled by Rayos de Hermosillo. Ostioneros de Guaymas managed to win second period 29-23. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded Ostioneros de Guaymas 39-21 including a 27-16 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was a great shooting night for Rayos de Hermosillo especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 62.5 percentage. The game was dominated by American players. The best player for the winners was forward Emmanuel Little (196-85, college: N.Dakota) who had a double-double by scoring 34 points (!!!) and 12 rebounds (on 13-of-15 shooting from the field). Forward Patrick Sanders (198-85, college: Cal-Irvine) chipped in 29 points. Little is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Forward Jerome Habel (208-85, college: San Diego St.) produced 21 points and guard Haakim Johnson (201-87, college: Pikeville) added 16 points and 7 rebounds respectively for the guests. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Ostioneros de Guaymas' coach rotated twelve players seeing no chance for a win.
