Very significant was Powerade T.'s (#5) just 3-point road victory against 4th placed Ginebra Kings. It looked good early as Ginebra Kings took an 14-point lead at the end of first quarter. But then Powerade T. took control and eventually winning the game that evening by 3 points. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 22 assists. American forward Omar Sneed (198-76, college: Memphis) nailed a double-double by scoring 27 points and 11 rebounds for the winning side and swingman Gary David (187-78) accounted for 16 points and 5 rebounds. Four Powerade T. players scored in double figures. American guard Cedric Bozeman (198-83, college: UCLA) came up with 23 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists and guard Mark Caguioa (188-79, college: Glendale CC (AZ)) added 12 points respectively for Ginebra Kings in the defeat. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Powerade T. have a solid series of four victories in a row. They moved-up to third place. Ginebra Kings at the other side dropped to the fifth position with three games lost. They share it with Petron Blaze. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
