Puerto Rico edge Dominican Republic to enter the Final of the 2012 Centrobasket in Morovis.The hosts celebrated a 73:47 win to face Cuba on Saturday. Both teams nailed 13 points each in the first period. The hosts managed to push the tempo later in the half and after 16-11 in it reached 5-point advantage at the halftime. The third quarter became decisive in the game as Puerto Rico had 25-9 in it and never looked behind. They added 19-14 in the last stanza to seal the victory. Placido Marie paced all the winners with 15 points and Escalera Carla added 12. Cortijo Carla delivered 11, while O'Neil Jennifer scored 9. Guzman Carmen ended up with 11 points and Paniagua Andreina had 9 in defeat.
