Preliminary Round Day 2: COLOMBIA - CANADA 67-98

Canada celebrated the second win at the U18 Fiba Americas Championship. They knocked down Colombia in Group B action. Six Canada players scored in double figures. Andrew Wiggins and Trey Lyles accounted for 17 points each for the winners. Lyles also added 19 rebounds in the victory. Canada and Colombia stayed neck and neck throughout the opening quarter. The scoreboard read 17:17 after ten minutes. But Canada exploded with 30 points in the second frame to clear off. The North American team secured a 15-point lead at the interval. Colombia cut the deficit in the third term. The Latin American team got within 7 points at the final break. However Canada shocked their opponents with a 32:8 run in the final period and sealed the victory at the end. Duane Notice provided 14 points for Canada. Kevin Cuesta answered with 17 points for Colombia. Brian Angola, Tony Trocha and Juan Lopez finished with 13 points each in the loss.
