Preliminary Round Day 3: CANADA - ARGENTINA 75-68

Canada registered the third straight win at the U18 Fiba Americas Championship. They defeated Argentina to clinch the top position in preliminary Group B. Andrew Wiggins scored 19 points to pace the winners. Canada will now take on Brazil, while Argentina will face the USA in the semifinals. Canada surged ahead to take a 19:15 lead after ten minutes. The North American team maintained the lead throughout the second quarter. They recorded a 34:29 halftime lead. Argentina cut the distance in the third period. They narrowed the gap at three points with ten minutes remaining. Canada however quickly picked up the tempo and raced to the victory at the end. Trey Lyles delivered 16 points and 12 rebounds, while Tyler Ennis finished with 14 points in the win. Martin Massone answered with 19 points for Argentina. Matias Bernardini netted 13 points in the loss.
