Puerto Rico close Day 2 successfully as they edged Bahamas 88:71. The hosts of Centrobasket 2012 improved to 2-0 record in Group thanks to 88:71 win. Puerto Rico did not waste time and took 20:11 after the first 10 minutes. In the second period, both teams traded baskets through the early goings of the quarter, but the home side took the ascendency thanks to another 18-16 burst. In the second half, both sides traded baskets for the majority of the third quarter with Puerto Rico maintaining their advantage at 63:42. They did not mind 25-29 in the last stanza to win the second game. Huertas David led the way with 21 points and Rivera Filiberto nailed 13. Sanchez Ricardo finished the night with 11 points, whilst Ubiles Edwin had 10. Gray Marvin delivered 14 points in the losing case and Rose Gamaliel poured in 13. Davis Bennet finished the game with 11 points, while Cooper Leon scored 9.
