Qualifying Round Day 3: JAMAICA - DOMINICAN REPUBLIC 64-80

Dominican Republic post the second straight win at the Coloseum Jose Miguel Agrelot in Hato Rey, Puerto Rico. The team overcame Jamaica 80:64 and stepped closer to qualify for the 2013 FIBA Americas Championship. Jamaica grabbed 21-19 lead at the end of the first period, but could not keep the lead for good. Dominican Republic managed to tie the score at the halftime and dominated the second half. They won the third period 21-11 and finished the game with 22-16 in the last stanza. Horford Alfred top-scored for the winners with 23 points and 10 rebounds, while Fortuna Elpidio and Coronado Juan netted 19 each. Suero Angel added 8 points for the winners. Samuels Samardo and Efejuku replied with 15 points in the losing effort. Jordan Jerome had 13, whilst Ewing Patrick nailed 10.
