Dominican Republic reaches the Final game of the 2012 Centrobasket. The favorite overcame Panama 79:62 and will face the hosts in the Final. Although Dominican Republic was the favorite of the game, Panama surprised them with 20:13 in the opening period. Even after a 15-9 burst in the second quarter, Dominican Republic trailed 1 point at the halftime. The second half however belonged to Dominican Republic that won the third and the last stanzas. They needed 25-17 in the third period and added 26-16 in the last. Garcia Francisco top-scored for the winners with 23 points and Horford Alfred collected 17 points and 13 rebounds. Martinez Michael followed them with 11 points and 11 boards. Ayarza replied with 19 points in the losing effort, while Munoz Joey, Daniel King and St. Rose Isaac all posted 10.
