Regular Season Round 18: Nanjin Army - Jiangsu 110-105

The most important game in the last round took place in between third ranked Jiangsu (11-6) and ninth ranked Nanjin Army (7-11) on Friday night. Jiangsu was defeated by Nanjin Army in a tough game on the road 105-110. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Jiangsu. The hosts trailed by 8 points after first quarter, but they rallied back winning two of next three quarters and won the game by 5 points. Nanjin Army made 26-of-32 free shots (81.3 percent) during the game. 30 personal fouls committed by Jiangsu helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. It was a good game for forward Shengyue Sun (198-89) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 24 points and 12 rebounds. point guard CaiBao Zhang (185-90) contributed with 12 points and 7 assists for the winners. Forward Hui Fang (198-82) replied with 23 points and guard Zhuang Ma (194-88) added 18 points in the effort for Jiangsu. Five Nanjin Army and four Jiangsu players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Nanjin Army moved-up to seventh place, which they share with Sichuan. Jiangsu at the other side keeps the third position with six games lost.
