Argentina earned the third win in London. They knocked down Nigeria tonight to improve at 3-1 record in Group A. Nigeria suffered the third straight loss and slipped at 1-3. Luis Scola stepped up with 22 points to lead the winners. Argentina started the game aggressively. They exploded with 37 points in the opening ten minutes to ensure an 18-point lead. The margin quickly grew at 20-point mark in the second quarter. Argentina arrived at halftime up by 20 points 57:37. Argentina stayed in charge throughout the third term. They entered the final stanza leading 76:57. Nigeria got within 15 points midway through the final term but Argentina stayed calm and coasted to the victory at the end. Carlos Delfino notched 18 points, while Andres Nocioni added 17 points in the victory. Ike Diogu responded with 16 points and 11 boards for Nigeria. Derrick Obasohan had 15 points in the loss.
