Preliminary Round Day 5: TUNISIA - LITHUANIA 63-76

Lithuania recorded the second win at the Olympic basketball tournament. They knocked down Tunisia for 2-3 record in Group A. Darius Songaila and Sarunas Jasikevicius scored 13 points each to pace the winners. Tunisia fell at 0-5 record. Tunisia got to another confident start at the tournament. They held Lithuania to 7 points in the first ten minutes to build an 11-point lead. Lithuania started to wake up in the second quarter. The Baltic team dropped 22 points to narrow the gap at 6-point mark at halftime 35:29. Lithuania cut the deficit in the third term. They narrowed the gap at the final intermission 50:54. Lithuania finally got things going at the start of the final frame. They triggered a 15:2 run to take a 65:56 lead. Lithuania did not slow down in the final minutes and cruised to the victory at the end. Rimantas Kaukenas, Simas Jasaitis and Renaldas Seibutis accounted for 10 points each in the win. Amine Rzig answered with 17 points for Tunisia. Macram Ben Romdhane had 12 points in the loss.
