Emanuel Ginobili replied with a tough layup to pull Argentina in front 77:76. Alexey Shved answered with a three-pointer and then Vitaliy Fridzon converted a layup to seal the victory for Russia. Vitaliy Fridzon finished with 19 points, while Andrei Kirilenko added 20 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. Emanuel Ginobili responded with 21 points for Argentina. Andres Nocioni had 16 points and 7 rebounds in the loss.
