Preliminary Round Day 2: MEXICO - BRAZIL 31-62

Brazil had no troubles to beat Mexico in Day Two of U18 FIBA Americas championship in Gurabo. It was a 62-31 victory and Brazil jumped to 2-0 record in Group B. They have a great chance to reach the Semifinals. At the other side, Mexico (0-2) is in very difficult situation as they slipped to 0-2. Brazil made 9-point lead already in the first quarter and jumped to plus 18 at the halftime. Nothing has changed after that as Brazil kept increasing its lead for rest of the way. Maria Ferreira scored 13 pts and pulled down 8 rebounds in victory, and Estela Gregorio posted 11 points. Martha Silva had 8 pts and 5 rebounds. Mexico's best player was Maria Faz with 11 points and 13 rebounds, while Maria Morales stopped to 7 pts. Brazil will play against Puerto Rico today and Mexico will meet Canada.
