Preliminary Round Day 2: USA - ARGENTINA 68-28

USA celebrated second straight win at U18 FIBA Americas championship in Gurabo. This time the defending champion smashed Argentina 68-28 for 2-0 record in Group A. USA will meet Colombia tomorrow and will try to win this pool with perfect score. At the other side, Argentina dropped to 1-1, but still has a nice chance to reach the Semifinals. USA took control on its rival from the very beginning and never looked back after that. Quarters: 18-6, 17-4, 17-9, 16-9. Breanna Stewart led the winners with double-double of 17 points and 12 rebounds. Michaela Mabrey scored 13 points and Morgan Tuck added one less. At the other side, Argentina did not have anyone with 5 or more points. Leon Zulema Garcia, Mascarena Jerez and Sofia Chelini stopped 4 pts each. As mentioned above, in the last day of the Preliminary Round USA will meet Colombia. Argentina's rival will be Dominican Republic.
