It looked good early as Juncos V. took an 3-point lead at the end of first quarter. But then San German had a 14-9 second period charge getting the lead and Juncos V. was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 63-65. It was a good game for American guard Dominique Smith (177, college: Prairie View A&M) who led her team to a victory with 26 points and 5 rebounds. The former international guard Michelle Gonzalez (167-89, college: FIU) contributed with a double-double by scoring 13 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. American guard Gaati Werema (183-88, college: Prairie View A&M) replied with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 11 rebounds and guard Barbara Concepcion (173) added 14 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists in the effort for Juncos V.San German maintains fourth position with 4-2 record. Juncos V. at the other side keeps the sixth place with six games lost. San German will play against Aguas B.T. (#5) in the next round.
