Very important is a road loss of third ranked Halcones Rojos (4-2) against fourth ranked Toros (5-1) on Friday night. Visiting Halcones Rojos were defeated by Toros in Nuevo Laredo 89-75. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Halcones Rojos. It was a key game for the second position in the league. The game was mostly controlled by Toros. Halcones Rojos was better in fourth quarter 20-18. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Toros dominated down low during the game scoring 48 of its points in the paint compared to Halcones Rojos' 24.
