China defeat Taiwan for the 5th place at the 2012 Fiba Asia Cup. The Chinese team grabbed 67:63 win in the last game to take the higher step. Taiwan meanwhile ended up on the 6th place. China won the first period 18-16 and added 11-8 in the second frame. Duan JiangPeng nailed three to send the teams to the lockers for 29:24. Taiwan however was too far to give up and Tseng Wen-Ting tied the game at 42:42 midway throughout the third period. China meanwhile led 49:47 at the end of the third period and then needed 18-16 to seal the victory. Wang Zhelin top-scored for the winners with 20 points and 14 rebounds, while Zhao TaiLong posted 14. Duan JiangPeng scored 11 and Wang Zirui delivered 6. Lin Chih-Chieh replied with 20 points in the losing case and Tseng Wen-Ting posted 12. Mao Chia-En brought 10, while Wu Tai-Hao had 9.
