Regular Season Round 4: BC Donetsk - Mykolaiv 91-75

Bottom-ranked Mykolaiv is still unable to win any game. This time they lost on the road their second consecutive match to eighth ranked BC Donetsk (2-1) 91-75. It was a very close game until the last quarter, when BC Donetsk's pressure prevailed and they won that period 27-17 extending their advantage to 16 points. They dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to Mykolaiv's 28. BC Donetsk players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of FYR Macedonian guard Vojdan Stojanovski (194-87) who helped to win the game recording 20 points and 5 rebounds and Lithuanian power forward Darius Songaila (204-78, college: Wake Forest, agency: Priority Sports) who added 14 points and 7 rebounds during the contest. Four BC Donetsk players scored in double figures. BC Donetsk's coach Vlada Jovanovic allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. At the losing side American guard Josh Mayo (182-87, college: Ill.-Chicago, agency: Stanislav Ryzhov) responded with 23 points and his fellow American import swingman Dwayne Mitchell (196-82, college: La-Lafayette, agency: Interperformances) scored 15 points, 7 assists and 4 steals. Defending champion moved-up to third place. Mykolaiv at the other side still closes the standings with two games lost. They share the position with BC Odessa and Dnipro. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
