Everything could happen in Frankivsk at the game between two tied teams. Both seventh ranked Hoverla and 8th ranked DniproAzot had identical 1-1 record. This time Hoverla used a home court advantage and beat the opponent from Dniprodzerzhynsk 80-74. Strangely DniproAzot outrebounded Hoverla 36-23 including 23 on the defensive glass. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 22 assists. 24 personal fouls committed by DniproAzot helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. The game was also dominated by American players. Forward Ryan Pearson (198-90, college: George Mason) notched 15 points to lead the effort and guard Eugene Lawrence (184-86, college: St.John's, agency: Two Points) supported him with 11 points and 6 assists. Four Hoverla players scored in double figures. Even a double-double of 14 points and 12 rebounds by forward Sam Muldrow (205-88, college: S.Carolina) did not help to save the game for DniproAzot. Guard Eric Devendorf (193-87, college: Syracuse) added 20 points. Hoverla (2-1) moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Halychyna and BC Donetsk. DniproAzot at the other side keeps the eighth position with two games lost. Hoverla will have a break next round. DniproAzot will play at home against BC Donetsk (#6) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
