Regular Season Round 5: Pardubice - Trutnov 38-77

Bottom-ranked BK Pliska Studanka (0-5) is still winless. But it was rather predictable considering how strong their opponent was. This time they could not use their home court advantage losing their fifth consecutive match to third ranked Kara Trutnov (4-1) 77-38 on Wednesday evening. Kara Trutnov dominated on the defensive end, holding BK Pliska Studanka to just 4 points in second and fourth quarters. They dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to BK Pliska Studanka's 26. Kara Trutnov forced 22 BK Pliska Studanka turnovers. The best player for the winners was American power forward El Sara Greer (188, college: Oregon St.) who had a double-double by scoring 14 points and 15 rebounds. Her fellow American import forward Ambrosia Anderson (186-84, college: BYU) chipped in 18 points. Four Kara Trutnov players scored in double figures. Swingman Michaela Pavlasova (180-91) produced 13 points and forward Hana Kramperova (176-85) added 13 points and 5 rebounds respectively for the hosts. BK Pliska Studanka's coach gave up on the game allowing to play eleven players seeing no chance for a win. Kara Trutnov moved-up to second place, which they share with IMOS Brno and Hradec Kralove. BK Pliska Studanka lost their fifth game in a row. They still closes the standings with five games lost. Kara Trutnov will meet at home Lokomotiva Karlovy Vary (#10) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. BK Pliska Studanka will play against VS Praha and hopes to get finally their first victory.
