Regular Season Round 3: B.Gais Neptune - UCC Demons 72-74

A very close game took place in Cork (derby !!!) between UCC Demons and B.Gais Neptune. Leader UCC Demons (3-0) got a very close victory on the road over B.Gais Neptune (0-3). UCC Demons managed to escape with a 2-point win 74-72 on Friday evening. Guest team only slightly avoided a big embarassment. UCC Demons looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. It was a great evening for American forward Delwan Graham (200, college: Jacksonville, agency: Pro Partner Sports Management) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 28 points and 30 rebounds. Forward Carlton Cuffe (190-87) helped adding 23 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. The best for the losing side was American forward Darren Townes (201-86, college: Hofstra) with a double-double by scoring 25 points and 14 rebounds and guard Gerard Noonan (180-82) scored 4 points, 15 rebounds and 10 assists. B.Gais Neptune's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. UCC Demons have a solid series of three victories in a row. They maintain first place with 3-0 record, which they share with UL Eagles. B.Gais Neptune at the other side still closes the standings with three games lost. They share the position with Moycullen. UCC Demons will meet league's second-placed UL Eagles in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. B.Gais Neptune will play against Moycullen (#8) in Galway and hopes to get finally their first victory.
