Regular Season Round 4: Sanda - Jarfalla 57-87
Date: October 13, 2012
Rather predictable result when tenth ranked Jarfalla (1-2) rolled over bottom-ranked Sanda Basket (0-4) in Huskvarna 87-57 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by Jarfalla. Sanda Basket was better in second period 26-20. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Sanda Basket to just 5 points in first and third quarters. Jarfalla dominated down low during the game scoring 44 of its points in the paint compared to Sanda Basket's 24 and made 19-of-24 free shots (79.2 percent) during the game. Jarfalla forced 23 Sanda Basket turnovers. It was a very good performance for center Jean Alix (200-79) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 20 points and 10 rebounds. Forward Babacar Ndione (200-77) contributed with 16 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Four Jarfalla players scored in double figures. Guard Alexander Russom (191-95) replied with 16 points and Albin Hall Eriksson (-96) added 11 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Sanda Basket. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Jarfalla left bottom position moving up to eighth place in South. It was Sanda Basket's fourth loss in a row. They still closes the standings with four games lost. Jarfalla will face Helsingborg (#11) at home in the next round. Sanda Basket will play against the league's second-placed Haga Haninge having rather not much hope for a victory.
