Regular Season Round 7: Tromso - Asker Aliens 94-73

Bottom-ranked Asker Aliens (0-5) is still winless. This time they lost on the road their fifth consecutive match to third ranked Tromso (4-1) 94-73. The game was mostly controlled by Tromso. Asker Aliens was better in fourth quarter 20-19. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Tromso dominated down low during the game scoring 68 of its points in the paint compared to Asker Aliens' 38. Tromso forced 22 Asker Aliens turnovers. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 22 assists. It was an exceptional evening for American forward Jonathan Jones (196-88, college: Kean) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 29 points and 15 rebounds (on 13-of-16 shooting from the field). His fellow American import guard Gary Wallace (187-88, college: Robert Morris, agency: TSS Management) accounted for 20 points for the winning side. Tromso's coach Kenneth Webb felt very confident that he used 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The former international guard Espen Stien (186-86) came up with 19 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists and Swedish forward Elias Westerlund (197-88) added 18 points respectively for Asker Aliens in the defeat. Tromso have a solid series of four victories in a row. They maintain third place with 4-1 record behind leader Centrum. Asker Aliens at the other side still closes the standings with five games lost. Tromso will play against league's second-placed Gimle BBK in Bergen in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Asker Aliens will play on the road against Baerum Basket (#5) in Bekkestua and hope to get finally their first victory.
