Regular Season Round 2: Palma - Clinicas Rincon 69-75

Undefeated Palma (1-1) recorded its first loss in S'Arenal on Saturday night. Hosts were defeated by ninth ranked Clinicas Rincon (1-1) 75-69. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Palma won third quarter 11-10. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Point guard Alberto Diaz (190-94) notched 16 points to lead the effort and Bosnian-Serbian forward Dejan Todorovic (-94) supported him with 16 points. Even 14 points and 6 rebounds by Haitian-American center Robert Joseph (204-78, college: Union, TN) did not help to save the game for Palma. Forward Gabriel Torres (198-89) added 9 points for the hosts. Both coaches tested many bench players saving starting five for next games. Clinicas Rincon left bottom position moving up to fifth place, which they share with 3 other teams including defeated Palma. Clinicas Rincon will meet at home La Palma (#10) in the next round where they are favorite. Palma will play against Oviedo CB (#4) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
