Regular Season Round 6: ROW Rybnik - Widzew 67-61

Bottom-ranked Widzew (0-6) is still winless. This time they lost on the road their sixth consecutive match to eighth ranked ROW Rybnik (2-4) 67-61. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Widzew won third quarter 13-7. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. It was a great shooting night for ROW Rybnik especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 66.7 percentage. Belarusian forward Nataliya Trofimowa (186-79) notched 18 points and 9 rebounds to lead the effort and the former international center Aleksandra Chomac (191-85, agency: Data Plus Group) supported her with 12 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists. Four ROW Rybnik players scored in double figures. Even a double-double of 15 points and 11 rebounds by Czech center Leona Jankowska (190-77) did not help to save the game for Widzew. Power forward Anna Tondel (183-77, agency: Promotex) added 9 points and 9 rebounds. ROW Rybnik moved-up to seventh place. Widzew at the other side still closes the standings with six games lost. ROW Rybnik will play against PTK Pabianice (#9) on the road in the next round. Widzew will play against the league's second-placed Wisla Can-Pak where they are definitely not considered as a favorite in this game either.
