Regular Season Round 6: Svitavy - BK Pardubice 97-85

The most surprising game was the first loss of undefeated BK Pardubice (3-1) on the court of ninth ranked Basketbal Svitavy on Saturday night. Visitors were defeated by Basketbal Svitavy 97-85. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of BK Pardubice. The game was mostly controlled by Basketbal Svitavy. BK Pardubice managed to win fourth quarter 24-20. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. 28 personal fouls committed by BK Pardubice helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. American point guard Michael Deloach (183-86, college: Norfolk St.) scored 15 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists to lead the charge for the winners and Polish center Pawel Mroz (215-84) chipped in 16 points and 8 rebounds during the contest. Four Basketbal Svitavy players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was Canadian-Jamaican forward Corey Muirhead (197-83, college: W.Carolina) with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 12 rebounds and Lithuanian point guard Evaldas Zabas (188-88) scored 23 points and 6 assists. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Basketbal Svitavy (2-3) moved-up to eighth place, which they share with B&W Opava. BK Pardubice at the other side dropped to the fifth position with one game lost. Basketbal Svitavy is looking forward to face league's second-placed NH Ostrava on the road in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. BK Pardubice will play against BK Prostejov and is hoping to win this game.
