We could consider it a predictable result in the game between close teams when ninth ranked KFUM Uppsala (2-2) edged at home 8th ranked Orongo Dragons (2-4) 94-91 on Sunday. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Orongo Dragons won fourth quarter 22-19. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. KFUM Uppsala dominated down low during the game scoring 66 of its points in the paint compared to Orongo Dragons' 30. KFUM Uppsala forced 21 Orongo Dragons turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Guard Lukas Friberg (183-95) orchestrated the victory by scoring 20 points and 6 rebounds. Oliver Jonsson (194-92) contributed with a double-double by scoring 13 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. Five KFUM Uppsala players scored in double figures. Power forward William Gutenius (205-92) answered with a double-double by scoring 29 points, 12 rebounds and 5 assists and guard Daniel Eliasson (190-92) added 24 points and 8 rebounds in the effort for Orongo Dragons. KFUM Uppsala moved-up to fifth place in North, which they share with Akropol. Loser Orongo Dragons dropped to the ninth position with four games lost. KFUM Uppsala will face higher ranked Umea (#3) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Orongo Dragons will play against Akropol (#5) in Spanga.
